My understanding is that the organizers aren't keen on having teams participating which shrug major cheating off as a mere technicality and put the responsibility on the project sites which were cheated.I understand their arguments regarding Gridcoin.
In a way, it is invitation-only. Although almost every team which wants to be invited, gets invited. (GC registered itself, then was unregistered by the admins.)Perhaps it should be by invitation only.
There are so many that some are bound to care. Though I suppose their registration was mainly due to GC initiators caring about their scheme being advertised for free on competition leaderboards.I actually surprised knowing there are actually GC members that care about competition.
IMO cryptocoins are not about fairness. To the contrary, and in many ways.regulate that in a more fair way
core business
I did a few spot checks of my pending tasks. Quite a number of them are stuck because the wingmen are ARM hosts which failed the task with computation error. I saw ARM hosts which had errors at 100 % of their tasks.I wish my validation ratio for Universe was a whole lot better......... pushing 3:1 waiting vs valid...
Well... I'm assuming you are defining their team as a "business" because they are getting paid to be contributing to it. IIRC your former team pays its Folders in EVGA bucks. And therefore is very much similar in nature. Sure those bucks are more limited but the basic concept is the same. So, if the team is a business, then so would EVGA. I personally don't like that way of looking at teams. But that should be a different thread altogether.
Oh, sadly, OcUK haven't registered this year. Last year they dented our rear bumpers and finished 11th. Though maybe we spot some of them supporting other teams.teams who registered this year, compared to last year,

If you knew SUSA like I know SUSA...Sad to hear OcUK as a team isn't participating. I have posted on the linked thread that they spelled TeAm AnandTech accidentally as SUSA.
It really bothers me that they refer to my team as OCP. Can they not include the H? HOCP I would be okay with.
