Has anyone recieved and tested memory from Zeus Components yet? Deals with it have been out for awhile and it'd be interesting to know how it performs.
AMD motherboards are very finicky with memory, so saying it's only compatible with AMD k7, via ****/*** is a good sign, but it could be the other way around, it could mean that it was tested to work at pc133 only on AMD/VIA chipsets and there's no guarantee that it'll do 133 on other motherboards, which I doubt, anyways I think this is a pretty good deal...
I bought a 128 meg dimm of Zeus pc100 cas3 once, and unfortunately it did not work with either of my bx boards. This is extremely cheap, almost incentive enough to build an amd machine...you could have a rockin budget box with this and a duron.
Yeah, I'm also curious as to whether or not this is compatible with the Abit KT7. It would be nice to get some confirmation from someone who has used this stick on a KT7.
Will this work with my Asus A7V? Im an idiot when it comes to memory, so I also need to know whether or not I can use this stick with my 128MB 100mhz stick already being used.
I have a 128MB PC133 Cas3 stick of Zeus that runs PC100 cas2 on an ASUS K7M without any problems whatsoever. Not to say that I recommend the ram because of this, but there are luck stories out there.
I ordered two sticks of Zeus Components 128MB 133 MHz a few weeks ago from them for my A7V. I forget the exact price, but it was pretty nice. I'm not sure if I actually got the Zeus or whether it was another cheapo brand or something, but it is now running at 140MHz in my system... crazy...
Well, this one is not that compatible, but they have some Zeus 128meg pc133 chips for $55 without the compatability limitation. 2 of those and you have 256meg for $110 +shipping. Not too bad!!
