For every moronic, naive, and inept individual here who said "B-B-but Democrats passed the HEROES act and Republitards didn't accept it!" which was an outright treasure trove of delicious Democrat goodies and candies for random loads of shit that had no actual relation to stimulus or helping Americans...

I give you this glorious oopsies.

A reporter asked "Are you more optimistic about a standalone stimulus bill now?"

Her Response? "Now that Biden is president elect, we are willing to do a smaller deal"

Beautiful, just fucking beautiful - and full on admittance of what we already knew - yet people here are still too stupid to see it even after I spoon feed it to you.

It makes complete sense. With Trump in power, once a deal gets done, it's over, all the millions of people and businesses and local governments left behind with that smaller deal are done. Finished. Nothing else is coming. But with Biden in power, there is more hope that even if you over-compromise to the corrupt Republicans with a smaller deal, there is hope for a future stimulus down the road to help those left behind by that smaller one.

This kind of logic is too rich for your feeble political mind to grasp. Just like when it's the Republicans voting against decriminalizing weed, it's not their fault, it's the 2 party systems fault. You are a hack.

Are you high or just incredibly stupid?

What part of Biden winning presidency is going to change anything? Trump would have signed any of the stimulus bills just as much as Biden would. The key is (And has been) at the senate level - which will remain the same as it was prior. Pelosi knew the Senate wouldn't sign her lucrative shit bill - she obviously didn't want anything passed until the election was decided.

You're a complete idiot. Please understand this.

Apparently you never heard of the bully pulpit. The presidency does have power beyond just signing legislation. Messaging to the American people. Biden could work with Congress to try to pass more stimulus, possibly working with the few moderate Republicans left in the party.

You are a political idiot. Nancy Pelosi knows a shit ton more than you than how government can work depending upon who controls which department.

Some fucktard on the Internet knows the senate won’t pass any bill, same fucktard still blames democrats for putting forth multiple offers.

Anyone want to tell that fucktard he’s still a fucking idiot because it appears he still isn’t aware.

He doesn't think controlling the executive branch does jack shit in negotiations with Congress when you have the House at least too.

That's not true at all. MCConnell bowed out of negotiations last summer, saying he'd pass anything Mnuchin & the President negotiated with the HOR. Trump quit negotiating, reallocated some funds to extend the program for a few weeks, and sulked. Only recently did Trump turn it around & ask Congress to send him a bill. It's a classic flimflam of misdirection.

I knew he'd come back in here and somehow blame the Democrats. At least four major concessions made from the original bill that was passed by the Democrat led House in May. The Republicans haven't made a single one. Yet somehow Pelosi, not McConnell, is to blame.

Seven months of Republican incompetence and political games. Yet after all that time they've actually gone backwards in the negotiations.

I'm still not over how this guy thinks having the presidency makes no difference when you have half the legislative branch as well. What a political ignoramus.

Mitch is shooting down the bipartisan deal. Sounds like it's take or leave his proposal which has simultaneously become less popular and less generous as the months have ticked by while the situation becomes increasingly dire.

He won't put the bipartisan deal on the floor though because it is probable there are enough votes to pass it. Many Republicans willing to set off a bomb in the economy then blame the Democrats for it as usual.

Theres currently 4 proposals or so of different packages on discussion now, so there is a lot of talking happening apparently.

I watch this guy daily - he always has good updates on how everything is progressing.

What it seems to come down to is that the entire GOP caucus won't support state/local money even for lability protections which they really want. This has made negotiating a package really hard. Now Mitch could put the 900ish billion deal on the floor which has both and it would probably pass but would aggravate a number of his party.

Bonus news Rand Paul is going to filibuster the NDAA which is likely to lead to a delay in passing the government funding bill which will result in a shutdown.

Rand needs to remain relevant.

Mitch McConnel is just evil. This fuck represents maybe 2 million Kentuckains, and most of his supporters are dipshit redneck morons, and yet can hold the entire country hostage during an unprecedented pandemic by simply refusing to hold votes on really serious bills. It's insane.

Then you have total morons blaming nancy pelosi instead. There should be some rule that any bill of certain types that pass the house should have to get a vote in the Senate. Let them go on the record voting against help for American people and small business.

Looking like some turds are going to pass because babies want their government paychecks.

We will see if Bernie ACTUALLY has the balls to stand-up and not allow them to pass government budget-bill without also doing stimulus checks and unemployment protection.

I suspect he won't, ever since he has gotten more spotlight he has very much done the "falling in line with the establishment" as of late.

Maybe if you predicted Trump would have the most corrupt administration in history your current prediction would carry more weight

The state/local support being removed is odd politics. Republicans at the state and local level have traditionally relied on federal funds to offset their irresponsible tax policies. I'm also skeptical that Mitch will agree to a bill w/o liability transfers.

State/local aid has been a Dem priority for a long while and the Rs veered away from it after Trump cast it as the "blue state bailout" even though lots of red states need the money too. They'd rather chew off their legs and those of their constituents than contradict him.

The obvious trade out was the liability shield which the dems hate but would give up for enough cash. The Rs are so against the money at all that the deal isn't possible no matter how much they want liability.

The Republican Senate will not rest until they have stripped away everything they possibly can from the American people.
I guess they don't want a goodie package for the Pub Senate candidates in GA to tout. I, oh hope they've become an afterthought in the blizzard of Trump's deluded followers.
