Got a question (& if the mods lock this because you're not suppose to do self-promotion, just PM me).
Will you provide smtp services? I've looked at several hosting packages, I currently host 2 sites
thru HostPro because:
1: They provide an smtp service as well as pop3.
--This allows my email headers to show only my domain info
--It allows me to be independent of my ISP for all important functions (important when your ISP is comcast)
2: One of their datacenters is an ex-NORAD site. (I don't expect many other hosters to duplicate this.)
But they don't support subdomains, nor per user login sites. (
www.fubar.org/~user1,
www.fubar.org/~user2)
where user1 & user2 have different directories & selfadmin'd passwords thus being protected from each other.
In summary:
1- <$15/month
2- >100 MB space (If you're targeting low-end hosting & using scsi drives you're missing the point)
3- I own the domain name(s)
4- DNS/SMTP/POP3/FTP services provided
5- > 10 pop3 mailboxes
6- Web interface to email provided
7- MS Frontpage 2000 extentions supported
8- shell access supported using ssh.
9- Don't make me pay a fortune for asking you to handle domain registration.
I'm not too thrilled with bandwidth usage meters but have learn to live with this current trend.
Can do? Let me know.
Other providers: if you want to spam me, go ahead, but only if you're willing to provide the smtp service.
Otherwise leave me alone.
