Hi, im doing a bit of o/c'ing with my A8N-Sli Deluxe AMD 64 3000+ Winchester, stock 200Mhz x 9multi 1.39v-core @ 29 oC. Took it to 267 x9 and auto'ed v-core at 1.48v @ 34oC.
Thats pretty amazing, all i did was press a button, didnt even change heatsink or fan.
Although its relativly stable and still very cool, "ScienceMark 2.0" gives me the BSOF or an instant reboot when running a benchmark test on the CPU. 3Dmark05 is fine, SiSoftware Sandra is fine, but ScienceMark2.0 (probably the most performance taxing) crashed.
So, i tried differnt Mhz x multiplier compo's, mainly tried tested and backed ones on the net which are almost guarrentied to work. Nun of these can pass Science Mark2.0, although on the net they are using it to benchmark.
So naturally, feeling like a failure, i took it back to 200Mhz and auto v-core (1.39v).
"What the heek, ill run ScienceMark2.0 on my stock 4yr old cpu and see what i get" (i only jsut discovered SciMrk2.0 so never used it b4).
BUT it still crashed!!! BSOFD NOOOO......!!!!!
Can anyone say Y, or tell me how to fix it? - have i damaged my old Winchester?
(i tried to cut down on the info to make it a quick read, but if u need more info ask)
