So I've finally ordered my 3570k (begone CPU bottleneck!) I've seen the 3770K's heat issues (I don't know if I should call them that.) Well documented. I've haven't read much about the 3570K though. I assume since it has a little less cache and no HT it should run cooler, but I don't know by how much.

I don't like anything noisy, but I'd like a good OC. What cooler would you guys recomend and what temps can I expect?

Ofcourse I'm going to OC this bad boy.

The Core i5 3570K suffers the same problem with or without HT. In fact from what I've seen so far, Core i7 3770Ks are able to run at a much lower voltage for a given clockspeed that I am running/testing.

Shouldn't give you much trouble if you have the Noctua NH-D14, Phanteks PH-TC14PE, Thermalright Silver Arrow or Corsair H100. Mine with the custom loop would not exceed nor approach 80C for any stress testing that I do at 4.5GHz and this is with an ambient temp of 30C. Assuming that you're getting the ones that I've mentioned above, you could expect 80C+ but that is still acceptable.

I was thinking of the H100 cause the other models except the Silver Arrow are hard to get here. I didn't know if it would be overkill or not.

I don't see how extra cooling potential is a bad thing; you either get lower temps or less noise. The H100 is fine but you'll have to suck in cold air to get the most out of the AIO watercooling units. You'll have to double check as well if the casing would support a 240mm radiator with 15mm spacing at the top.

I have the Corsair H100 with my Intel Core i5-3570K and have it in the Corsair Graphite 600TM and frankly it is loud compared to the Antec Sontana Pronto that I used with the Intel Core i7-2600K and the Cooler Master 212 +. A bigger issue is with the Corsair H100 you have that huge 240MM radiator and finding a place to mount it in a lot of cases is hard.

I've got the Corsair 600T so finding room for it would be fine. The other issue is I've got an AC twin turbo on my 6990 and the fans and heatsink extend past the card and blow air up. So if I set up to suck air in, it the only think I would have exhausting air out is the rear 120mm fan.

True, the lone 120mm fan would be your single exhaust, but the air will also exhaust through the rear port/slot covers (that's why they're semi-open) and through every other crack and crevice in the case.

I'm using a setup quite similar to yours, a Corsair 650D case, and have mounted in the top a Corsair H100 using Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1850 rpm fans, set as intakes. And this case, just like your 600, has a lone 120mm as exhaust. But I've had no problems with air flow as the intake air exhausts via the rear slot covers in the rear as well as via the 120mm fan.

But to get the best performance from the H100, you have to have outside air being used as the cooling air. Using the fans as exhaust on the H100 will really cripple its effectiveness as you'd be using preheated air----air heated up by your video card, the motherboard chipset, VRM modules, heat off the cpu, etc. Really doesn't make sense to buy that cooling solution and not set it up to work as best it can.

What goes in must come out, you're creating positive pressure with more fans blowing in than out so hot air isn't trapped in the case just because you have a 120mm fan doing all the exhaust. Hot air from the GPU will probably rise up high enough that it will be forced out through the perforation at the back of the case due to the difference in air pressure. The 120mm fan will do the same with the hot air from the radiator.

So even with a 375W graphics card it wouldn't be an issue? I was thinking of getting the mesh side panel and add a few fans, but I'm not sure how effective that would be.

Just max out the fans in your xase.
Maybe some some ultra kaz

This will only affect CPU temperatures to a point because if Ivy Bridge's poor heat transfer between the CPU and the IHS, but for cooling high wattage graphics cards, maxing out case airflow can help
