I use something like this as my computer chair (but more cheaply built since I'm poor). Very comfortable, particularly if you add on a little lumbar cushion like the other link (which I did). I should know since I spend 12+ hours in mine each day. The leatherette might wear out but I placed a throw on mine under the cushion.

That one is $360 off.

The base on mine totally broke up so it won't glide or swivel any longer but it still works as a regular recliner/computer chair.

You could get a new video card with the $300+ saved.

Hello. First off let me say that I'm not trying to crap on your thread here, but only trying to share my honest opinion on this chair. You see I've owned 3 of them. All 3 of the ones I owned broke after a short period of time amd are now somewhere in the local landfill. Therefore it seems pretty clear to me that the design of these chairs from a relaibility standpoint is seriously flawed. The chair itself is indeed a very comfortable chair, or at least it is for the short period of time it remains in one piece. That just makes it all the more dissapointing when the thing literally falls apart on you.

I refuse to buy a chair without sitting in it first.

I can assure you that if you sat in this chair youd loved it, as it is indeed a very confortable chair. The only problem is it's a piece of utter crap that's made in china and constructed of the thinnest and weakest possible steel available. Frankly, I think this chair is probably dangerous as there's a good chance someone somewhere will one day get seriously injured by one of these chair breaking as they sit in it.

The base on mine totally broke up so it won't glide or swivel any longer but it still works as a regular recliner/computer chair.

That's what happens the first time it breaks, but if you continue to sit in it, it will break again in a different place and this time render the chair completely unuseable.

You could get a new video card with the $300+ saved.

The truth is the normal selling price of these chairs is usually in the $150 range. So the so called $300 savings is more of a marketing ploy than actual saving. Anyway, in reality the chair is not worth even $50 as it's a piece of cheap junk that will fall apart on you in a few weeks. If your a really small lightweight person the chair may last a month or two provided your really careful with it but I wouldn't even count on that.

Mine did break at the base but after 4 years and I am currently sitting in it. It won't glide or swivel anymore with the base removed but it's quite solid on its four legs at the moment.
