3DMark 2005 and nV Firewall Conflict
After wasting so much time, money and energy I figured out something that
migt be useful for many people.
My system: Sempron64 2800,epox 8npaj(s754,NF4),1GB Crucial PC4000,GF7600GS
I experienced random errors on 3dmark 2005 just as the first game ends but
before the 2nd begins. I thought that was due to my poor x550 and I changed
it for a 7600GS but no luck, still some random errors. After lots of changing
drivers, hardware configuration,... guess what was the cause? The famous buggy
nvidia network manager. I uninstalled it and I got rid of that annoying bug.
So, be aware that nV Firewall can give you any nasty nightmare like data
corruption, system instablity and ... and I think it is due to the background
Apache program.
