I just realized that putting Heroes and Studio 60 back to back was a bad idea. After watching superheroes save the world from destruction, who's going to care about the day to day political ramblings of a fictional comedy show?

I liked tonight's episode. There were times that I laughed hard enough that my wife got pissed at me (she was doing homework in another room, separated by a door. Sucker)

Yeah, this show would be better if it was after Dateline on Fridays. Nothing like a little humor to lighten things up after watching an hour of war and child sex predator coverage.

Putting it after Heroes just makes the trivial problems that the cast has during the show seem all the more trivial, though. How am I supposed to care about the results of a focus group after seeing NYC get nuked in another show just 15 minutes earlier?

I really like this show. Its not really funny, and I dont know if its supposed to be, but its just a great drama/story. I like Heroes as well, though I dont watch the shows by conventional means so I dont know how watching them back to back would change my impressions. What other show has Sorkin done? Never heard of him.

I am turning around on this show. I liked the focus group episode. It's got a lot of drama and good characters. They are having a show about funny versus smart sketches, because they know the people watching will have the same dilemma with this one. It's not supposed to be haha funny. It's a drama/satire.

Yeah, people expecting a straight comedy will be very disappointed by the show. However, from what I can tell it's a somewhat realistic portrayal of what goes on behind a show -- the actual *work*. Work is never funny.
