Emusic is NOT for folks who want current hits. BUT:
They have an *incredible* library of jazz classics -
They have an interesting libaray of older Celtic, folk, and world (most of Shanachie) -
They have some funky classical (historic pre-WW-II recordings of composers conducting their works)
They seem truly estabilshed and legitimate - no dodgy Russian copyright BS ...
I signed-up for the three month deal a couple of years ago, and got much more than my $$ worth of really interesting music. Since the site doesn't seem to change much (their updates are generally not new music you're interested in hearing), it wasn't worth while to stick with it.
So - if you have a lively music curiosity, plunge in and download some classic Miles Davis, Django Rinehart, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, George Gershwin ... it doesn't have to be up-to-date to be amazing music !
Just $0.02 from a person with eclectic taste.
