I got a 54" 1080p plasma & blu ray player for $1250. It's wall mounted and I sit 12' from it and it's plenty big.
DLP is dead. I'm flabbergasted that there are still devoted fans of that tech. Enjoy your $200 bulb replacements.
Meh, I still own 4 HDTVs and constantly get new ones as a video enthusiast. I think I'm on like my 12th HDTV now since 2000. Plasma, LCDs, DLPs, CRTs what name you.
Do you know what really makes guests go "wow, so that's what HD looks like". It's my cheap DLP in the home theater with proper viewing distance.
At your viewing distance you wasted money and don't know what HDTV looks like.
