6600 runnin hot non-overclocked

I have a 6600 on the asus p5nsli with the coolmaster aquagate 80mm cooling system hooked up with NO overclocking...

I have the PSU fans, 80mm coolmaster, 120 case fan and another 80 in the front of my nemesis case...

This thing seems to be running real hot since 60 is the safe max...

Coretemp readings
Idle temp is 47-48C
Orthos full load is 58C

Overclocked to 2.8
Idle temp is 49-50C
Orthos full load 59C

Is this normal? 2.4 running that hot seems wierd... especially with water cooling...

This subject has been done to death in other threads, but to save you doing a search-
1. Coretemp measures the actual temp on the die, so it shows hotter temps than other temperature monitors.

2. If you still get high temperatures using another program, or when looking in the BIOS, the first suspects are -
a). seating of the HSF
b.) incorrect application of thermal grease
c.) concave integrated heat spreader - check it with a straightedge

I appreciate the help, I have been combing the forums but it is hard to find a direct answer to the question sometimes.

So what is the standard idle/full load stock 6600 temperature on the cores themselves?

What is a safe idle/full load range when overclocking?

I think the problem is stock fan airflow, with the case the core temps drop to low 40s, is that where they should be?
