I know this has been asked before, so sorry if this is a repost or something...anyways, I was wondering if any BIOS will work for any card. I have a PNY card, and God only knows when they will release a BIOS update for it. As far as I know, most companies have chosen to go with the reference design, so would say an eVga BIOS work for my PNY? The card has been doing pretty good so far, no crashes or freezes (that are related to the card at least). Thanks all.

1) Dont mess with the cards BIOS unless you REALLY know what your doing.
2) If it "aint" broke, you know the rest.
3) See number 1.

Thanks, I do know what I am doing, I was thinking of using nvflash, but I don't need to anymore. My card has been working well, but I was noticing some weird tearing and sometimes just inconsistent IQ. However, I realized that Fast-Write was turned on, I just thought I turned it off. Anywho, not an exciting thread by any means, but thanks keyes for the reply.

Can I ask why you think a BIOS flash would fix tearing and IQ? I would try different drivers first. Enable Vsync, turn off fast writes, etc etc.

Word! I have not seen any evidence in any of the forums that would lead me to think there is a problem with the bios.
