Oh shizzles! I didn't know it was released! But damn! Hope that is better than the 6600GT (which newegg doesn't seem to have anymore [the EVGA one])!

Hmm. My wife has an old PNY 6800 128. I wonder if the new 7600GS AGP will out perform the 6800 plain jane version.

I don't think it will. The 7600gs performs worse than a 6800gs, which performs slightly better than a 6800nu.

This should leave the 7600gs either on par with the 6800nu or worse off.

I'm thinking the 7600GS core may be as good or better than the 6800/6800LE/6800XT, but the 800MHz 128 bit memory slows it down a bit. Still, exciting news for those with AGP and a $100 cheaper alternative to the 7800GS.

I read somewhere about an extremely OCable 7600gs, and if this is the same...well, then it might be a good buy.

you should be able to hit at least 500mhz on the core with the stock cooler

still 128bit...though it has 256MB of memory now. that cooler looks kinda dinky and it doesnt look like the card comes with many extras, besides the usual cables and such. hmm, its clocked at 400/400 and has 12 pipes. not bad...

and DDR2? i thought it would get GDDR3...or that may be the 7600GT im getting mixed up with.

The Inno3D 7600 GST looks pretty cheeky. Too bad it prolly shan't be distro in NA, reminiscent of the Gaywad 7800 GS+ (natch!).

p.s. it performs and is priced betwixt the GS & GT, hence the name.

Its the GS version. There will also be 7600GT AGP version. I saw a picture of a leadtek 7600GT AGP from techpowerup? it looks VERy similiar to the 6600GT AGP, and will need a 4pin molex connector for more power.

Anyhow, a 7600GT will be around the performance of a X850 pro or even faster (since its faster than a 6800GT/GS).

I guess this will be the last time they beat up the dead horse.

this should be the last AGP graphics card from NVIDIA, cos next is G80 & DirectX 10, which should make a fair point to switch to PCI-E anyway

i got a FX5900XT which still works fine....& 7600GS sound nice for me...cheap upgrade after 3 years, for 2 more years, cos DX10 games won't come for vista on day 1 anyway, i can still use my 3 GHz CPU for a while

if not games, i atleast hope to use Vista final, with this card properly...the Aero UI I mean

7600gs is just barely faster than a 6600gt (i guess the agp 6600 gts are 475/900 not 500/1000 like pci-e so its a slightly bigger difference).

that said, theres much better options for the money. when its down to like $110 it will be pretty decent though.

12 pipes and 256 megs of ram really seal the deal over the 6600GT...

OC the core to 500 like everyone has been able to do (several of the models on PCIe come at that speed, even a passive cooled one) and sqeeze that extra 100 mhz out of the ram and it will be no contest.
