Ive read that the 7600GT is coming with a 128bit interface, are they insane?? meanwhile ATI is bringin thje X1800GTO with a 256bit, what the hell is Nvidia thinking, its gonna be like the battle between the 6800GS vs X1600 clearly Nvidia win this because of the 256bit memory interface of the 6800GS, I dont understand, Ive also seen some tests of these 7600GT cards and it "seems" that the 7600GT its 11fps faster than the 6800GS in every test how is this??

Actually, in the X1600XT vs 6800GS, the performance difference is because the X1600XT is the world's fastest 4 pipe card -- it can only render 4 pixels to the frame buffer at a time. They can be very pretty pixels, but you only get 4. Don't get me wrong, the 50% more memory bandwidth the 6800GS has doesn't hurt, but it's probably not the main bottleneck at lower resolutions/quality settings you'd use with an entry level card like the X1600XT.

22 Gb/sec bandwidth on the 7600 (also the 1600XT) is nothing to scoff at. It's nearly double what you get with a 6600GT, which is a fairly capable card. At 'lower' resolutions like 1280x1024, it should be plenty enough to turn up the eye candy. That bandwidth is comprable to 256 bit cards with slower clocked ram.

I've also heard rumors of 7600s with 256 bit ram. Duno what the prices on those will be, but I'm hoping to pick up a 7800GT for around $200 soon instead.

Wonder how long until X850XT hits $125 or lower as well -- ATI still has truckloads of cores.

Wreckage, I dont know if you realize that the Geforce 7600GT they compare against the 1800XT are the XXX version and that means the highest overclock these cards can handle, now an 6800GS overclocked at max (515mhz) can beat the 7600GT. Dont get me wrong Im not against Nvidia or with ATI, but I cant believe that Nvidia is making the same mistake ATI did with their 1600XT series using 128bit instead of 256bit(6800GS) everybody nows that 256 its needed to achieve AA and AF, so I guess 7600GT its gonna lack of AA and AF performance. Maybe Nvidia has some trick for us in the future of their 7600 line that also its priced from 200$ and above. I also dont support the 1800XT because those specs should achieve a higher performance than the ones that are shown.
