Lol...I love the low resolution of 3DM05...all these 7800GTs scoring lower than my trusty old (well...SLI'ed) 6600GTs

No, for comparability all should of course use the same setting...but 1024x resolution is no real stress to point out the real capabilities of the newer cards like the 7800...
1024x shows more the cpu limit than the card limit...

Did a little preliminary benching to sort each card out before I throw them in together. Sorry I don't have a published score for you guys but I wasn't hooked up to the internet at the time.

With clocks at 550/1360, 3700+@stock and Quality mode in the control panel I got 8734.

I could only get my other card stable at 560/1300 and with the same setting above I got 8713.

I'll see if I can get some published scores to throw up.

EH WRONG. You provided an invalid link. I use 81.84 drivers and have no issues linking it. Your "intarweb skillz is teh suxxorz".

I have tried your link many times it keeps coming up invalid

7956.

One of these days, I'm going to break 8000 :|.

Edit There you go 8022.

Yeah baby!

Edit Great, not that this thread is active again I have to change my result to reflect the fact that I'm now running in SLI. That would be 10313 and I haven't even started optimizing yet.

Not too shabby. Reference 7800GTs score about 6800 or so with an average proc. Dual core chips score higher so that's probably where the increase came from (if you're using 81.85 or later drivers).

Finally got some results for my rig. 13680

Holy crap! That's an amazing score considering your core clocks are lower than mine. What's up with the XTreme-G drivers? Are they that much better than the regular Forcewares? How stable are they?

I don't think the Xtreme G drivers do much of anything for 3DMark05. They've been very stable for me and supposedly give a little bit better IQ in games. Never tested that myself, its just what I heard from other users.

The core clock that it shows in the compare link is wrong. It should say 550MHz.

Your scores seem really low. My 7800gts at 468/1100 and my 2.4ghz venice get 11000. I would expect your system to be getting more like 13000.

Why should I be getting 13000, if you only get 11000 with your two 7800gts?

I'll probably get close to 11000 eventually as I play with RAM timings and such, but there's no way I'm going to get into the 13000s without going to water cooling.

Let's take a look at some typical 3DMark05 scores with XFX 7800GTs in SLI. Motherboards.org gets 8232; Gampyre also gets 8232; Guru3d (which has forgotten more about videocards than most websites will ever know) manages 10573. Bjorn3d.com is the champion with 10789. And that's with a DFI LANParty NF4 SLI-DR, an Athlon 64 3800 Venice (mine's a Winnie) and RAM that runs at 2-2-2-5 timings.

I'll grant you that these tests all pre-date the latest Forceware drivers but even so, I'm on the high end of results for XFX 7800gts in SLI.

Care to post a link to your 11000 score so we can all see what you got there with?

Admitted I have been a bit frustrated since getting the 7800 gt card a week ago. Finally cracked the 7k mark or 7014 to be precise with the help from coolbits detect optimal frequencies o/c (my sig). The weakest link must be the Intel P4 3.4 in my Dell system.
But heck I finally hit the magic mark and most importantly most of my games are running fairly smooth at hi settings (1680x1050) with aa & af turned on. Using FRAPS, COD2 averages about mid 40fps, FEAR is about 60fps, SilentHunter III about 70's fps.

EPoX 9NPA+ Ultra
3800+ X2 @ 2.4 GHz (untill the XP-90 comes)
2GB Gskill Value Series
EVGA 7800GT @ 505 core 1.15 mem

Unfortunately GPU temps went up to 69C on full load, which is probably due to the extra heat in case from my processor. Edit: After looking at other peoples scores, I am curios as to why mine is this high. The clocks on the card were taken from Coolbits auto detect, and I am getting scores that are equal to some people who are getting 1200 on mem. The core on this card overclocks quite well, but the memory isn't as good. Is it because of the relatively high core clock or what?

Nice score. I need to get a NVSilencer as my 7800 is reaching 77C (Yikes!) in RTHDRIB. Of course I live in Arizona so...
