7900GT SLI on OCZ Modstream 520w ?

hi all
i have an OCZ Modstream 520w PSU and i was thinking of buying one more 7900gt to go SLI, so can anyone tell me wether my PSU can do SLI on these cards or not :/

the PC specs are :
opty 170
a8n32 sli
ocz vx 1gb 512x2
7900gt
200gb sata HDD
combo drive optical
ocz modstream 520w psu

Yuo should be fine, there are reviewers at newegg who are running SLi'd 7900gt's on your psu. Someone else was running 2 7800gt's as well on that psu and the 7900gt consumes less power, so you should be good to go

Yeah, I used to have two overclocked 7800GTs on one of those with no issues. You should be fine.

You could run a X1900XTX Crossfire on that PSU. X1900XTX crossfire consume crapload of power ;( you are safe.

Under full load a volt modded and overclocker 1900XTX crossfire will consume like 46A alone, I doubt whether you can afford to provide 40A just to your graphic card.

You don't volt mod an X1900, you adjust the voltage with ATI tool.
You are thinking of the 46A that is displayed in ATI tool I believe. That 46A is at the 1.5 or 3.0V at which most of the logic on the card runs. The card is supplied with 12V and is then stepped down to the 1.5 or 3.0V level. 46A x 1.5V = 69W. 69W / 12V (fed from PSU) = 5.75A load on the PSU.
An X1900XTX will draw from 5 - 12A on a PSU 12V line depending on load and overclock.

The modstream 520 should have no issues with 2 x 7900GT's but that will all depend on total load and the overclock on the CPU and Vid Cards.

well i have my proc OCed to 2.6GHZ that is FX60 speeds
but my cpu cooler is coming cnps 9500 am2 version so i might go far like 2.8 or 2.9 or may be magical 3.0ghz
