Tell me how this sounds...
I had connected the 4pin hard drive molex connection for the motherboard when I got it yesterday to a connector that was switched by my Cold Cathode light and I was able to get 2.4Ghz perfectly stable at 1.6 volts (8.5hrs of Prime95 perfection), and it was table for the time I used it at stock voltage as well. Today, since I wanted the mobo off that switch, I moved over to the only other available molex connector that I had, which I'm not sure where that comes off of--it might be split off the baybus but i dont know without tearing everything aparat again--and hooked that up to the mobo. Now, I have to use 1.65 volts on the core to get it stable, where at 1.6v I get a bluescreen on boot as Windows loads. Now, at 1.65 volts in the BIOS MBM5 shows that, under load of Prime95, the core is actually at ~1.55v. What's up here? Is it possible that the molex that I switched to is getting less power than the other one I was using?
Thanks!!
And once again, what about using 2 PSU's? Would this help, or is the PSU itself the limiting factor here?
