(it's not even overclocked now and still the same).

what can cause this? my pcie is locked to 105..gpu idles at 68c.

Hmm, strange. Does it lock up on any other games, or just farcry?

You try running your CPU at stock speeds also?

Your video card temp seem awful high.

I idle at 46 and load at 70 with my GX2

Odd suggestion, but run Far Cry with Xifre and MSN Messenger turned off. If you don't run those programs then ignore.

The reason I suggest this is I just went Core 2 Duo myself and games like Oblivion and Battlefield 2 seem to crash for me if those applications recieve messages and generate windows, happens to my friend too and his Core 2 Duo system is entirely at stock.

Mine runs about 68 idle, right now, and has been that way since I got it. Before I put AS5 on the GPU's and the memory, it was idling at around 70-71

WOW

I dont know if I should feel lucky here or what. But those temps seem crazy high to me.

I do have excellent air flow with my case though. Maybe this is why?

so this is normal..i'm idling on 68-70c..( will apply as5).
as for the MSN, its open allright but nobody sent me any messages..i'll try closing it anyhow just to be safe..
maybe it has to do with the PCIE lock setting?

My airflow is quite good also, running a thermaltake armor case, 120mm in the front, 92mm on the top and back, another 120 on the back.

I have the factory overclocked 570m edition from XFX though, I dunno if that makes a difference for me.

this is very strange..i have just reseted the bios to factory default and again fary cry crashes after few minutes..

all temps are fine...

i dont have any more games to test it with, is there some sort of automatic benchmark that can do that for me?

Any of the 3d marks, aquamark, nvidia test demos from their official site, game demos.

I posted this in your other thread. I really think this will help

What bios version are you using? Make sure it is the most current 0507. I also notice that you have OCZ memeory. My OCZ memory requires 2.1 volts minimum which is the max volts for the memory on this board. Double check the specs but I am sure that you need to set voltage for memory to 2.1 volts. I was getting massive instability in games but it would run 3dmark06 just fine. When I changed memory voltage everyting was solved

hey. i am with the latest bios here..also 2.1v to memory....
even on Default settings without OC to anything at all, far cry is not stable..
i don't have any games right now to check..3dmar06 is not good enough for real time testing..
