with such a high death toll and all of the videos posted so far, how come we don't see dead bodies anywhere? just wondering.
there was a tide of bodies that washed up this morning....2000+ bodies. They ran out of body bags to fill them all.

We have quite a few Japanese interpreters and translators working for us, and so far most of them reported they and their families are safe: either they were in US or in parts of Japan not affected by the tsunami.
The whole thing is horrendous though. Donated to the Red Cross.
great, thanks for sending bibles to japan. ;D
Japan's society is 1000x better than our society. All begins with how people are raised when they are young. They have strict parenting in Japan, we have no responsible parenting here. (Not all, but sadly a majority these days.)
totally disagree with that--but as far discipline and community go, they certainly outclass us. They are handling this disaster with a lot of patience and spirit.
I doubt any world community could live up to their standard under the same tragedy.
I literally cannot think of a single place outside of Japan where something like this would happen and crime didn't become the lead story.

China. Japan has a homogeneous male dominated society with strict hierarchy. Easy to get organized with that in place.
