802.11b disconnection issue

Hi all-

I'm having a problem with a wireless network. I have a DLink DI-614+ wireless AP/router, which is mounted roughly in the center of the building about 9 foot high. I have two different laptops that i'm having problems with connecting to the wireless AP. They usually connect fine, however when I walk out of range with them, they disconnect. However, when I walk back into range, they won't connect or even see the AP until I restart the it from the web interface.

Anyone have any idea what could be causing this problem?

What kind of wireless cards are the laptops using?

They're both using Intel WM3b2100's. One machine is on XP home and the other is on 2000 pro.

Sounds like an issue with the AP. Do you have another AP you can try? If not is there a firmware update for the AP you can do and see if that works?
