80gb or 120gb?

Getting a second HDD to store more crap on. Wondering should I get a Seagate 120gb SATA or a 80gb? I currently have a Seagate 80gb SATA drive. I don't know much about Raid and stuff other than I think you need 2 of the same drive in order to run it and that it's suppose to increase storage performance?

For the price difference just get the 120Gb you prolly don't want to use raid w/ only 2 drives since you want more space

if you don't already know too much about raid, don't worry about it. the performance increase isn't something that you'll notice and it's usually for larger storage drives like 250gb, not 80. just get a 120gb SATA drive as a second storage drive. it's only a few bucks more than 80gb

If you really want to get the best bang for your buck, then you're going to want to go with something more like 200 or 250GB.

Monarch usually has some pretty good deals on drives, and for the 200s and 250s you can get them for under .50 a gig usually

more space is never a bad thing to have. sweet spots are around 250gb, but just spend as far as your budget will take you.

Since it is more storage you want. Don't worry about RAID for now. Just get the most bang for the buck for storage. And the sweet spot is eithe 200 or 250 GB.
