Many users of the P4B533-V motherboard, including myself, have had problems with this motherboard running memory at high speeds (+160MHz) at CL2. Many of the problems have been with Corsair XMS, but this has also happened with other brands. With this motherboard you have to run memory at 2.5-3-3-6 at the higher clock frequencies, irrespective of the quality of the memory.
The conclusion to be drawn from this is that there is little sense in buying good memory for this board (eg Corsair XMS3200C2) because the board simply can't use it.
Ram Guy at Corsair support is certain that there is no problem with the Corsair memory, and some users have also tried different modules/motherboards, with no success.
Now: Is this a P4B533-V problem (ie an ASUS problem), or is is a 845G problem (ie an Intel problem)?
Can any users of other 845G motherboards please comment? We need to pin down the cause of this problem.
