8800 GTX or Playstation 3

If you have a 7900, what's the point in getting an 8800 unless you want to brag and maybe run a few games a bit higher quality. But to each their own..

PS3, na. Has no games, blu-ray is overpriced and future is uncertain. Could be the next 3DO. I'd rather get a 24" LCD (come on tax return) or new HDTV.

Wow! thanks everyone for the great responses. Each of you make valid points. My original plan was to get the 8800 GTX. Truth be told, I spend far more time on my computer than I do console gaming. I really liked my PS2 for games like FFXI (before I got the PC version). The only reason I was considering the PS3 at all is because I am a huge movie buff too and my last big purchace was a nice big monitor(HDTV) that is HDCP compatible, and I wanted to watch blu-ray movies as well as play the next-gen Final Fantasy games. I think since I use the tv as my primary monitor, I could just get a blue-ray drive and then I could burn stuff too (for $15 a blank disk or whatever it runs).
Anyway, thanks to everyone for all the advice! I am gald I found these forums!
