8X AGP vs. 4X AGP?

Just curious about the AGP speeds. My machine currently maxes out at 4X, but I see that all new cards are utilizing the 8X AGP. If I were to buy an 8X AGP card (ie. 800xt) would it be bottlenecked drastically by my current (4X) AGP slot speed or no?

Any input appreciated....

I just upgraded my MB to an 8xAGP. I have a 9800 pro.
I got about 150 more points in 3dMark 2003.
You shouldn't worry about it.

Well they're testing cards that are only half as fast as an x800. Maybe the results could be differant.
