It is sad to think that half the population thinks that their own government is willing to kill thousand of its own citizens to achieve its foreign policy.
I was wrong. The Bush administration would and did send thousand of its soldiers to their death in Iraq despite the fact that:
Iraq had nothing to do with 911.
Iraq had NO weapon of mass destruction. The rest of the world knew this so Bush must have known.
The invasion of Iraq is the worst US foreign policy DISASTER ever. It has accomplished nothing except perhaps to promote hatred against the West.
Meanwhile in Afghanistan, the Taliban are regrouping, learning from the terrorist in Iraq and getting stronger. Osama Bin Laden is still on the loose, paranoia dictates US borders policy decisions and we keep hearing how right the Iraq invasion was by the US administration.
The invasion of Afghanistan was the right thing to do. I supported the invasion of Iraq until I found out that there was NO WMD. I thought that the US must have known something the rest of the world didn?t. Ya right!
I believe that the Iraq invasion was a personal vendetta by pres Bush to avenge the assassination attempt on his father and to finish the job started by his father.
I still don?t believe in the conspiracy theories and never will until they are proven in a court of law.
So YES the government would kill thousand of its citizen (soldiers) to achieve its foreign policy.
