Hi all,

Here, I want to build the ultimate gaming rig. Money's not a concern, feel free to improve my build.

I want to know whether the thermaltake level 10 gt battle edition can be used in this? I think there will be a problem of space and cooling. Can you suggest a better looking case.

I don't think that most people around here would be envious of somebody why spend $9000 on a gaming PC. There are other emotions that might come into play, but envy is not one of them. It's far more challenging and rewarding to build just the right gaming PC for what you want to do than it is to turn everything up to 11.

Not even sure that you can game on 9 monitors at once.

I don't think it's even possible to use that period...

OP, at the very least, get 1-3 4k monitors instead. Also, you should wait for Haswell-E to release. Having an 8-core machine will make you stand out a lot more, and you might be able to get 4x GTX 880s by then.

404 No envy found for a bunch of mismatched color components and eight small and craptastic monitors...

2 R9 295X2s...one of them can handle 4K on very high-ultra...and you can't play on 9 monitors.

How about you buy an Intel Celeron with R9 295X2s in Crossfire .

The Samsung Evo 840 1TB drive is similarly priced (Maybe even cheaper) and a much better performer for your SSD. Faster random reads/writes and more consistent IO performance.

You should scale down to three monitors, and get all 4k displays (Either the 24" or 32" dell (The 60hz models, not the 30hz models) or the new Acer 28" 4k monitor that has G-Sync, if you're open to getting Nvidia cards.

The point was made to wait for Haswell-E, and possibly the Nvidia 8 series - this is a wise decision. Haswell-E is going to come in an 8-core version and is supposed to support DDR4, which will support up to 16gb modules so you can get significantly more memory if you so choose. The Nvidia 8 series *could* be significantly faster and have better performance for 4k.

Water cooler - if you're set on using an AiO loop, at least get something decent like a Corsair H110.

Case - Look at corsairs higher end Obsidian line offerings, they are very well designed and made well.

If you're really dropping 9k on a computer, at least get some decent speakers. Audioengine A5+.

Troll thread is troll Though it is nicely laid out.

If serious, why do you need 64gigs of memory, and yet you're buying only an upper-mid-range motherboard. Why no RAID storage? Why a $1k CPU and yet a midrange cooler? Why $60 speakers with a $9k PC? Etc....

There's just no challenge in this, I want to have a little fun in return for giving away my time. Having a realistic budget and a realistic goal is what makes researching a build interesting, imo.

HA! $3K on GPUs that will have driver issues Day One. Look at Watch Dogs. My $9K PC can't play it!

You need better monitors than that. IPS xor 120Hz is a must.

I'm just quickly looking at the case in question; is it possible to mount 2 295X2s in that case? Based on the Newegg pictures I'm not sure there's a 3rd fan mount in a suitable place.

im using cheap speakers and a expensive headphone cuz i usually use headphones 90% of the time not to disturb family.

but IMO... OP buying 8000 dollars in hardware with no custom LC unit?

this makes me very sad... very very sad....

Also your monitors blow... no offense... do some justice by getting 1440p's or even the ultrawide 29 inches.
If you really want the multi monitor setup... borders on 8 monitors will annoy the hell out of you... at least swap those out to the new asus monitors which are near rimless.

that way u wont have those annoying boarders

Remember to throw in a second CPU, another 64GB of RAM, and a full custom loop.

Mine would cost more and would be a mini Supercomputer, but won't bother doing it.
