ayush_rawal, after looking through your build a bit more, perhaps we back this up a bit and ask a simpler question: do you want to build a gaming rig to build a gaming rig, or to have a gaming rig.

From the tone of your post it sounds like this is your first build. If you're doing this just to have a gaming rig, then for what you're willing to spend I'm not sure it makes much sense to build it yourself unless you are specifically looking for the experience of doing it on your own. If you are doing this for the experience then that's great (you'll have a blast), but it's something that needs to be asked.

Otherwise high end systems are an area where boutique system builders such as Origin and Falcon Northwest really excel, and they could do a better job of putting together a similar system for less all the while offering support and a warranty.

get a 4960x cpu and a mobo to go with it. get a 256Gb SSD samsung evo and a 2Tb HD.

2x gtx 780Ti or 2x 290x . a evga 1300w psu. 3x ASUS VG248QE .

google caselabs and find one you like.

buy a DVD, a H100i and call it a day.

go home, assemble everything, and play with it for a while. come back in 6 months and ask us again.

That's really solid advice. However I would point out that each of those modded monitors requires a video card. So he either needs 3 cards, or different monitors.

ayush, why are you after so many monitors, anyhow?

Edit: And here's another option for a build that I really like if you do intend to go all out. Triple 28" 4K monitors for Eyefinity, backed by a pair of 295X2s and a 4960X. This can easily be scaled down in size and cost by dropping a 295X2 and the secondary monitors, and moving to a mid-tower case.

I reeeaaallly feel like we are getting trolled, and I'm super close to reporting. Nobody spends $17k "just to build" a machine. Unless you're some foreign business guy with millions of cash or something.

ViRGE, why are you supporting this? Is it not the least bit suspicious that the OP jumped his price from $9k -> $17k without comment, or that he suddenly decided he needed 128gb of memory and a workstation motherboard? Yes there are plenty of people who could drop that kind of money on a computer, but if they're doing it "for the experience" their build isn't going to change that wildly.

And since this is the "ultimate" build, he should actuallllyyyy probably go with a phase change cooling system for his CPU, and something like 1080mm of rad space with all the appropriate liquid cooling stuff to go with it for the GPUs.

Asus has the ARES 3 coming out soon, water cooled single slot 295x2 card. Anyone serious would be waiting for this or in this case someone with a nearly unlimited budget.

Strictly as a gaming build and nothing else,the whole 64gb ram deal is extremely overkill and while having a huge budget, take the savings and enjoy a nice steak dinner or something damn dude.

Well even AiO should pose some minor heebitus jeebitus due to leakage and pump failure risks. For simplicity Noctua and Phanteks aircoolers would be more attune to the appellation of ultimate.

Your storage and display config is all messed up. You shouldnt even have a HDD, since simply having one plugged in will slow down your machine. Buy a NAS and stick the slow drives in there. And ditch the 1TB SSD. Even if you're Bill Gates, you dont need 1TB of solid state storage. And why use such mediocre displays on a 5 figure system? You should have triple 4Ks.

I just read the review on those new intel pci e ssds, think the p3700 series. crazy read and write specs and while pricey @$1207 for 400gb i doubt you would need a upgrade for storage for a good long while.

Won't help frames but count on loading maps quicker then anything, i would hope the pc isn't only for gaming where this p3700 series ssd could also come in handy for work.
