There hasn't been a good radio station anywhere near Omaha since the Edge shut down, and you were probably 11 then... The River was decent up until 99, but now they're basically a corporate rock station--crappiest college radio station I've ever heard.
They did show the video for Killing in the Name of on MTV Europe back in the early 90s, with a certain section cut out

you know what's odd... your "fix0r" doesn't really match up to the radio stations where i listened to music in the 90s i never heard da da da on the radio, only from an mp3. i rarely heard "how bizzare" ever being played. you might have just owned the CDs and replayed them over and over, but they certainly aren't overplayed. (sugar ray is a possible contestant in that category though.)

I think the key is that it doesn't match up to the stations you listened to...
I was working as a stocker in a clothing store, and of course they had it on "adult contemporary" and they played that song (How Bizarre) so much it almost forced me to violence on the loudspeaker. That and that damned Butterfly Kisses song.
I Just Want to Fly got overplayed on MTV in early/mid 96. Da Da Da I mostly just heard on the VW commercial, though.
Elastica did a cool cover of Da Da Da on their second album though--which reminds me to add some Elastica for 90s music
