939 3200+ fan not always starting

I have the beep error on in BIOS (ga-k8nf-9 mobo) when the CPU fan isnt running... Almost every time i turn the PC on it beeps (solid) for a few seconds until the fan starts spinning up, then goes away...Sometimes it beeps up until I get all the way into the OS (45sec boot time)...but then stops and never does it again till I power off.. This is the retail kit cpu/fan...Any ideas what would cause this?

If it is Gigabyte GAk8ns Ultra-939 mine does that too and the CPU gets pretty hot quick even in bios w/ no fan on. From what I hear in AMDMB forums just disable fan control in bios and you are golden.
Hopefully a new BIOS will fix *shrug* luckily my fan is super quiet.

god i have never read soo many bad reviews on the gigabyte ga-k8nf-9 mobo.than any other board and they all have the same probs with them always the cpufan.

The CPU fan is no big deal really...its only off for seconds or less...I was just wondering if there was a fix... I guess I could turn off the annoying beep but I dont want it not to come on for a long time sometime...

It goes off during boot sometimes then goes back on after it's "warmed up" but don't be fooled mine would randomly go off during a game or something occasionaly and beep a lot.
I couldn't trust it like that so I disabled fan control completley. F5 bios.
