I am wondering what the problem with my card might be. I have an A7N8X board with a 2500+ barton, 1GB ram (366MHz), the mentioned 9700 Pro, 80GB hard drive, dvd burner, and a cdrom.
When I boot, sometimes it won't boot and responds that I have not plugged in the power cord for the video card. If I keep trying to boot, it will eventually boot and then works fine until the next time I turn off the computer.
Other than not ever turning off the computer, do you guys have any ideas what I can do to try to fix this problem.
I was thinking that it was a temperature issue on the card b/c it is hot to the touch after it has been on, but it happened yesterday after it was turned off for more than a day.
My other idea is that my power supply needs to be bigger. I have a 350W supply but I wanted to get other opinions on how big of a power supply others were using affectively before I drop $100 on a 460W supply.
Thank you for any help you can provide on what may be wrong.
And btw, it is not overclocked (it used to be until I noticed problems) so that isn't the problem...
