I might try DICE and Acetone tho.

Cascade TE coolers can achieve these temperatures IF your water cooling can remove 1+ kW of heat. The cooler you keep that hot plate the better those cold sides will be. Electrical consumption is high but at least you're not venting fumes everywhere.

Use the capacity! Circulating room temperature coolant through a block is kind of boring isn't it? Keeping it down with a large cascade TEC (triple decker) at 1.5kW sounds like fun. Unlike refrigeration it's easy to control the temps with FET controllers with either direct PID digital or hybrid analog.

Congratulations!

Any ideas of what to use as silver inside a MCRES? I have no room for a tube reservoir. Otherwise, it would be easy to use a 5 troy ounce silver ingot or silver bar. 10 ounce would be possible too, but its kind of silly to spend $200 of silver on a $25 reservoir lol

However, MCRES is small, and I thought about a 10 mm men's braclet, but I'm worried about it being sucked down the tubes to the pump. I guess silver balls are even more dangerous. I also thought about silver audio banana plugs or silver speaker cable (now that's expensive!). Both can also be sucked into the pump.

One idea is coiled silver wire for jewelry, but you still have to uncoil it to get into the reservoir, and anything thinner than 12 gauge kind of looks wimpy.

Maybe I pour silver oxide into the water haha

Just get a kill coil iany.
