I have an MSI RX9800pro with the R360 core in an Epox 8RDA+ motherboard. I recently installed the latest 4.9 Catalyst drivers and the Catalyst control center. When I run the control center and click on the SMARTGART tab it has the AGP speed set to off. And whenever I try to increase it to 8X my computer either crashes and reboots or the AGP speed is automatically set back to off. What am I doing wrong? I was given to understand that 9800pros were suppose to run at 8X. Is my motherboard limiting me? I checked the specs for 8RDA+ and it says it supports AGP 8X at a voltage of 1.5V, which I set it at.
Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks
