So what is happening over there?
The long and short of it is that the Tweak3D forums (and on a larger scale, the site as a whole) had fallen into disrepair after a very long time of neglect from the owner of the site, a fellow by the name of Dan. Most of it's members (myself included) bemoaned the loss, and eventually came to terms with the site's slow, inevitable death.
However! A member by the name of Mushu (and his band of revolutionaries) took matters into their own hands and built their
own Tweak3d forums. The exodus to these forums with fresh blood flowing through it's veins was monumental, and within about a week's time the original forums had become a variable ghost town.
T3D's biggest appeal was it's community, and now it had left. Dan finally noticed.
He assured everyone that change was coming, and he made attempts to stem the flow of people migrating to the new site. Such promises were heard before, however, and the influx of members to the new site continued.
But come the date he had set, the new, more stable forums were up and running. The absolute split image of the seperatist's forum, but up nevertheless.
Now, members are torn between the two Tweak3D's, and Dan has loosely threatened legal action against Mushu.
Me? I think I'm going to stick by Mushu for the duration of this conflict. People that actually take change into their own hands are becoming increasingly rare and it's easier to maintain for something that initiates change then something that merely reacts to it.
And that's what's going down with Tweak3D. It wasn't a plug, or anything, I just know some of the members migrated over and I figured that it was worth mentioning.
