a desperate plea

I need help desperately.................My monitor will not come on when my computer starts up and i have a paper due in tomorrow............and don't have any back-ups..........any ideas????

Make sure that your Video Card is in tight- sometimes the card can come loose if it wasn't in there tight.

.........And waste all the time i already put in no way this will work if i have to stay up all nite. And the graphics card is in fine and my motherboard also has onboard graphics neither port will turn on the monitor.

if you've re-seated the monitor a couple times... monitor is probably shot. can you take the computer to a friend's and plug in their monitor?

Tried 3 monitors and all work on different computers, one is brand new too! My computer stalled right before the problem started and i had to cut the power at the mains.....any help?

fastest solution: take the hdd out, put it in whatever computer you're using now.
