A7V133 on XP 1700+?

Quick Question: are XP's compatible with the A7V133 mobo for SURE? I've read into this, and I've been getting mixed responses from sites that I've found as well as from some of the guys here.. the reason I'm asking is because I've been having massive problems since I've switched to an XP from my previous T-bird (which is dead now).. I've attributed the problem all this time to the CPU since that was the only thing I've changed, but now I'm not sure because some software seems to be having conflicts too.. please help! Thanks!

Not for SURE. It's all about getting lucky. I've got a revision 1.04 board working perfectly with an overclocked XP2000+, in jumperless mode. Iv'e only heard from a small handful that also have perfect stability with their boards and an XP cpu.

The only confirmed way to get an XP cpu to run on the a7v133 is with the revision of 1.05. and using BIOS 1.009. Let me give you link to a website that has information. I am running a rev 1.05. and 1.009 and want to run an XP 2100+ or higher if possible.

I've got an xp 1700+ running in my old a7v (kt133) right now it runs well
no probs yet

Well the good news is, I ended up getting a sweet deal on an Epox mobo that will solve all of my problems.. and it's working beautifully

Currently running XP1900+ on A7V133 (past 3-4months).
