a7v133 vcore accurate?

I have been using an a7v133 with duron 800 not over clocked for about two months. The computer has been very stable except when compressing video. I have had the vcore at default. It shows 1.63v in bios but 1.68v in asus probe. I decided to try and set the voltage to 1.65 (shows 1.66 in bios and 1.728 in Probe)to see if it cleared the instability doing video, it worked. The computer is completely stable and can run Sandra cpu benchmark burnin for hours. I have tried two durons in this machine and both show the same results. I also have no problems with the same CPU's on a KK266. Is it normal to have to set the vcore to above the default even with no OC? I think I am getting inaccurate readings of vcore from the a7v133 board.

In my case the actual value is always 0.05V higher than the value that you set it to in the BIOS, so 1.70V in Bios are actually 1.75V!

had a lot of problems with my a7v133: corrupt files, games crashing to the desktop and very unstable voltages. upped vcore to 1,65v and now everything works fine. was already thinking of returning my mobo, but no need for that now. voltages are more stable now, maybe i'll try to up the vio as well.
you should try motherboard monitor 5 instead of asus probe; it also shows you the range for all voltages, so you can see if there stable or not.

Thanks for the confirmation of someone else having the same problem. I was running vio at the default of 3.53v but now set it to 3.3 and have not noticed any loss of stability. I would rather run voltages no higher than needed.

actually, none of the 4 boards I had in my case, reported the default voltage of 1.75 for the
Athlon TBird. The highest voltage I get are the 1.92 volts with my 7DXR, and I really like it.
My Epox 8K7A on the other hand was suppossed to deliver 1.75 plus 0.4= 2.15, burt delivered "only" 1.97 volts. Still very sweet, the more voltage you get for your CPU the better for overclocking.

Has anybody ever checked the voltages using an accurate volt meter to see if what the BIOS shows are the true voltages i.e vcore, 12v, 5v, 3.3v

well apparently the voltages weren't my only problem; i've returned the a7v133 and got a new one. finally my system runs like it should have. the prob was i couldn't install win2k without a couple of files having bad checksums; after switching all components i concluded i had a faulty mobo.
