Anyone have any problems with stability in dual channel mode with this memory?
I can memtest86 successfully if I take out a stick, and just run one stick in single channel, both sticks work fine it seems. But when I put them both in and have em' running in dual channel, I get memtest86 errors. Usually they are in the same spot, but sometimes it varies. It also varies on the test it gives errors on.
In windows, its semi-ish stable. I was getting some random booting/restarts/blue screens from BF: V and Far Cry. But this hasn't happened for a few days.
I'v played with the VDIMM voltages, going all the way up to 2.9 with DDR settings on auto.
Specs are as follows:
3500+ Winchester@Stock
A8N-SLI Deluxe bios 1005-003
Mushkin Basic Dual Pack DDR400(not the dual CHANNEL pack, just the dual pack)
New egg says this memory is at 2.3-3-3-7, but really SPD is 3-4-4-8 (don't really appreciate that)
OCZ 450W ModStream
Both the part numbers on each stick are the same, plus each chip on each stick has the same numbers on them, so I am pretty sure I don't have a mis-matched pair like Mushkin seems to think.
The PS rails are decent as well. Getting about 11.75v on the 12v rail, dips to about 11.5-6 when heavy gaming. 3.3v and 5v are within 5%.
I have also tried the various bios' 1002...1003...1004....
Any clue? Hate to have to RMA these sticks, cause I'll want to get something a bit more guaranteed to work in dual channel and would suck to pay a restocking fee.
