System specs
A8n-sli
(2) 74Gig WD raptors not raid SATA
(1) 250 Gig WD 7200 SATA
4 Gigs CORSAIR 2G(2X1G) Twinx2048-3200c2 R
Athlon 64 4000+ SanDiego
Thermaltake Power Supply W0057 500W Modular
Pioneer 16X DVDRW-DL
1.44 Floppy
ATI X800XL 256Meg PCI-E
Windows XP Pro 64bit
I installed all the hardware, flashed the BIOS to 1008 and checked the settings.
All memory etc is set to AUTO, this machine is not getting overclocked.
First two times it booted it showed DDR400 but it froze in the BIOS while I tried to turn PEG off. After resetting a couple of times, it started running the memory at DDR333.
I manually set it back to DDR400 but the sytem would not boot and I had to clear CMOS to get it booted again.
Is there a problem running DDR400 with all the memory slots full or does it sound like there may be a defective memory module?
Any suggestions?
Thanks
