I will probably stick with my IT7 MAX until the smoke clears on the GB reviews.Abit have recently informed me that they will be implementing a new strategy that will help them to deliver a wide range of features to suit the user. I recently reviewed the BE7-RAID that was missing quite a few new features. I was informed that there would be new board versions on the way that would incorporate Serial ATA, Broadcom Gigabit LAN and so on. These new models will be named BE7-B/G/S/R and Abit also say they will be doing the same with the KD7 series. So if there is just one particular feature you are seeking then one of the KD7-B/G/S/R models maybe more what you are after.

Thugs,
Still waiting to see if this thing will do more than 1 stick of ram at those speeds. Oh, decisions, decisions, decisions. I love the P4PE, but I know that it is what is limiting me.

Hmm. Choices Choices. Recently the BE7 has become available
locally and the P4PE has dropped to about the same price ($US120).
Which do you think would be more stable at 166FSB DDR415 ?
Jim
(i figured i should just post this before SCK asks anyways)
cas222-7 vs -6 vs -5 (164fsb 411ddr)

PJ ~ just turn off the PSU power and hold in the switch for 5 secs.
like i mentioned earlier....
if this Abit board can boot at X fsb, then it will run close to 100% stable at that fsb
an Asus board will boot a good 10fsb higher then it shouldand then crash... alot.
...the Abit was much easier to overclock and find 100% stability. (as im sure you noticed by how quickly i got all this testing done so far?) :Q
i didnt need the reset button at all ~ just needed to clear bios quite a few times
it pretty much went like this...
167fsb = no boot
166fsb = boots, benches, not prime stable
165fsb = boots, benches, prime stable, M86 stable
it doesnt get much easier then that

Computer show where? Pomona? I get in that for free dawg, no need to pay that silly entrance fee. THUGS, see what you can get without the memory timings. Or are you still holding on to your motto of better memory timings are better than more CPU MHz? I'm thinking of this board or the EPoX 4PEA, what do you think?
