Question 1: Open your case and grab a flashlight- the revision number of your motherboard is silkscreened onto the PCB. It is usually near the CMOS chip next to the 16 bit ISA slot, but sometimes it is to the side of the IDE connectors. The possible numbers are 1.0 through 1.4 (I think)
Question 2: The latest BIOS will work on the non-raid KT7- it will just ignore the HPT BIOS update. I have no experience with this rev. of the BIOS because I have the RAID MB and the rev. 12 HPT BIOS is said to be really slow.
Actually it's not listed on their webpage but if you look in the FTP directy there is a 3R bios that is newer than the 3C one. As far as compatibility, all Abit KT7-anythings take the same exact bios (KT7, KT7-RAID, KT7A, KT7A-RAID, and KT7E).
