Abit NF7 onboard LED question

I posted this in the NF7 sticky thread but really need it answered so apologies for the double post.

I've just swopped out my NF7-S ver1 for a ver2. The ver1 was working great - I just thought it would be better to snag the newer rev. instead.

There seems to be 2 small LED's - green and red which light up when the board is powered up. These are close to the cmos battery. The red led stays even when I have powered the system down. I checked and the rev1 board did not have these LED's. Should they be illuminated? They're also pretty bright which is irritating. I read throught the manual but could not find any reference to these lights.

The red is on all the time, as long as the power cord is plugged into the PS. it is just letting you know that the board is getting power. the green light will be on when the machine is turned on, of course.

The red light will go out in about 5 secs. after the cord has been pulled, so you can just pull the power cord whenever you turn off the computer. You can still see it with the side of your case on?

Any way to disable these as I have a case window and my pc is next to my bed?

Not that I know of...I guess you could rip em out lol. Contact Abit Tech Support and see what they say.

there is no way to disable them, but you can black it out with a sharpie. sorry for the thread hi-jack but i'm havin problems getting the power led to light. any ideas?

Are you sure the LED on your case is actually working?

mine doesnt light either. i had my old epox board in this case and it lit when i first built the computer, but went out in about a month or so. i changed led's - didnt work. changed the headers - like the whole group of wires, etc. - didnt work.

now with my nf7-s in this case, the power led still doesnt work. what gives??? i just want the light to come on, its no big deal, i just want it to work!

same here, it worked for about a month. now it doesnt
