About Dial-Up Network

Hi, gangs:

Just a quick question. I have T1 Ethernet connection in my office desktop PC and I would like to take advantage of this fast Internet connection while I'm at home. Both of my home PC and office desktop PC have 56K MODEM and I tried pcAnywhere already, but the performance is very bad (only connecting at around 28.8K). Here are my questions:

1. Any tips about how too boost the connnection speed? (I have read pcAnywhere's online pdf file document about how to increase the performance and tried it already, not very useful)..

2. Is that possible that I could buy TWO cable modem or xDSL modem for this purpose to increate the connection performance? I don't know much about Cable Modems and xDSL modems. If this is possible, which brand/model should I buy?

3. Any other suggestions/advice about using office's T1 connection after work? Thanks!

you're only as fast as the slowest link.. so it'll be fast from net to your office but if you connect from ur house to the office, it's still slow..

Certain DSL company lets ur BOND two connection but double the cost.

That is one of my favorite lines "Your network is only as fast as your weakest link.

Even if you have a product like Citrix your browsing will be slow.

I personally use netmeeting, but I dial in to my pc to do big downloads. If I am browsing I just use my dial up. When I come in the next morning I then can copy the download to various media formats.

If you want the speed you need to buy a bigger pipe.
