I was looking at the Hot Deal Fourm today.. and saw the Crucial memories are on sale. Especially the PC2200(i think i got the number right)? now.. what's the difference between that and the PC133.. I know 133 is the speed.. now do you need a special motherboard to take advantage of the pc2200?? I have an Asus CSUL2 motherboard.. would the PC2200 work on it?

PC2100 memory is DDR memory. DDR memory is just like SDRAM, which is what pc133 memory is, but it is double sided so it is twice as fast. while the 133 refers to the speed of the memory, the 2100 refers to the bandwith of ddr memory which is 2.1gb/s. the pc2100 is twice as fast as pc133.

the Asus CSUL2 mobo uses pc133 memory, and you cannot use pc2100 memory in it.

Ertle.. thanks for the fast response.. I know I saw the deal on hot deal forum today.. and that's why I want to know what's the difference between the RAM.. DAMN now I wanna get a motherboard that suppports pc2100
