You nova Yankee's up north sure got clobbered, but down here in the south, (Williamsburg), it's tee shirt weather. Once I get done shoveling, think I'll go buy myself a new razor.

You know we used to get storms like this all the time 30 years ago and didn't call them "Epic". It was just winter.

Saw on the news several highways are out of commission and a church collapsed.
DC is definitely NOT used to this.

Anyway I will be chopping and uploading in a few minutes. Advice to some of you: Learn to crop. A picture that is 2/3 sky is 2/3 useless.
The new Paint with Windows 7 is much better than the old one which came with Windows 3.0.

Um, actually, look up "the rule of thirds" and rethink that statement. 1/3 of the pic should either be sky or ground. Now, if the sky is completely uninteresting, then yes, it should be 1/3 and the ground the rest.

A lot of weak trees have been felled by the heavy snow.

I'm planning on buying a 4x4 SUV late this summer. My car just isn't cutting it in the winter any more :\ I'll still keep the car and drive it in the summer (gas mileage + fun factor of the car > SUV) but it'll get parked during the winter.

Also, for the conditions of the side streets here in my town, I wish I had some chains for my SUV. Some of the hilly side streets looked they where perhaps plowed once and then that was it. We had about 18-20 inches.

We got 30 inches of snow (we live near Baltimore, MD). I didn't go anywhere on Saturday, but I went out on Sunday. The roads were horrible, and many streets were not plowed at all.

Our Honda CRV did just fine for the most part - there was one area where we briefly got stuck in 2-3 feet of snow on an incline (I was trying to go reverse up the hill). Had to turn the VSA off...
