ANOTHER blizzard warning for the mid atlantic???!

Wow talk about an epic week of weather!

Be careful out there. I've experienced a few hours of a blizzard in Manhattan once and once in my lifetime is enough!

Blizzard Warnings all over the place from MD to NY. Should get VERY interesting in a few hours when the storm really cranks up. WEEEEEEEE!!!

Got 12.6 inches here in Chicago last night.

In the past 6 years, my office has never closed for any weather-related event. We've had two official "office is closed" notices now in the past week. Still have to work from home, but pajamas beat business casual any day of the week.

I've been in a few Blizzards before. Horrible stuff. I have my doubts on these Mid-Atlantic Blizzards materializing though. Mainly because the snow has petered out in a lot of areas.

Irregardless, it is going to be a bitter day with 50MPH wind gusts.

The snow is pretty light but man is it windy out there. I hope they close the office so I don't have to use a sick day.. I don't feel like going in.

Well, I'm in Virginia and the second wave of the storm went a bit above us and we aren't getting hammered by anything but severe winds and bitter cold.

So..it's pretty bad here, but not that bad.

The snowfall from this storm for other areas didn't look like enough to cause a blizzard like I know them with total whiteouts and multiple inch an hour snowfall.

Just was..trying to give some hope.

Ya, it missed you and hammered us. I just did one plow of the driveway, clearing 8" so far, but we will be back out after supper to push another 8" out of the way.

Ouch, really? I had to get 2 inches up (easiest thing all winter). Then I scrape the parking space and the hill to the ground where you turn at to park so that the car doesn't have issues. Not much snow but the temps and wind are making lots of hard frozen snow and it's drifting and sticking-freezing from the new powder..

About to get new tires, I'm excited.

The other day so much snow was around and under the car it..it was just a mess I don't want to talk about...*shudders*

Baltimore has suspended plowing and gone into Phase 3 Snow Emergency = Nobody allowed on the roads.

It's absolutely insane outside right now. We've already broken our annual snowfall record and it's mid-february.

This winter sure has been rough. Feels like I'm back in Maine except with 1/20th of the snow equipment.

Also..instead of living in the city I have to take care of many animals and manage my way out of rural roads. :X

Maine friends are rubbing in that they can still see grass...they are having a light winter.

my neighbor's roof has icicles hanging down about 6 - 7 feet. ridiculous. if it lets up at all, I'll go shoot a couple pics, though not as artsy-fartsy as shocksyde.
