ACK! LCD cracked on laptop...

My IBM T20 now has a cracked screen. I took the screen out and noticed the model was LP133X7 then below the model number was (F21B)...

I checked egay for a replacement screen and found several LP133X7... except instead of (F21B) they were (H2CC)...

My question is what does the number the (F21B) or (H2CC) mean... would the screen still work in my laptop?

Its an LG 13.3 screen used in a number of different laptops... the screens on ebay weren't pulled from IBMs....

Also I don't want to spend 300 or 400 to buy the part from IBM...

You should call IBM and ask them what you need to order, and then find it on the web or ebay (like you did). Try a Google search, it might help. And the numbers are just model numbers, I doubt they mean anything...

Agreed, try calling IBM or find a parts list online(don't know where) or you could try emailing a few of the sellers on EGay.

IBM usually has usually has maintance manuals on their site. Shows part numbers and disassembly instructions. Search on their site.
