However, in addition to trigger locks, every firearm I've purchased has also come with a lock that goes through the action in such a way as make an accidental shooting impossible (the result of California legislation, as I understand it, and sensible IMO).

Thanks for showing me that.It was more about the general atmosphere being more hostile. Like when the people in charge start messaging that certain people are "undesirable" it doesnt take long for the brownshirts to start turning up, and those are people that would be put off with a show of force!
