I've used them both and while Adaptec isnt bad Nero blows it away hands down. Adaptec is maybe a bit easier to use that's about all. Nero is unquestionably superior in every way IMHO.
I have used both, and for the most part they are on par. However, I would definitely have to agree, Nero is superior. It's the only burning software I use now.
Definately Try Both And Make Your OWN Decision! The soon to be released Adaptec offering is a LOT better than previous and I doubt many, above have tried it! :disgust:
In my view, Nero is the best- it handles copyrighted discs and overburns much better than Adaptec, which tends to freak out, leaving you with a frisbe!! Cdrwin is also an excellent alternative (demo from GoldenHawk).
Nero is buggy, but it's still great software. CDRWin has no bloat whatsoever and I prefer it over anything. Except when making certain copies I have to use CloneCD.
I have 90% of the burning programs, but I stick with nero for 2 reasons:
1) bound to ctrl + alt + n
2) ease of use with the cd wizard makes me laugh every time
I have uses both EZCD creator and Nero. At first when i did not know a lot about buring i used EZCD it was good. But with time i see that Nero works much better while i burn. Nero interface is not as easy to learn than EZCD but then you would use the help for any questions you would have regarding the problem.
I'm not "against" nero.......I just wish I could let some of you "naysayers" try the new version.........it MAY change your mind.........
