Adblock plus for Firefox has a new feature to block known malware sites and tracking sites. To use it try this URL chrome://adblockplus/content/ui/firstRun.html

Or uninstall Adblock and reinstall.

Is it necessary to uninstall and then re-install ABP or does subscribing to Malware Domains at https://adblockplus.org/en/subscriptions accomplish the same thing?

You can do that to. Go to the bottum where it says Miscellaneous and add the malware subscription. Although there are two other lists not shown that you can add. Does my link above work?

I noticed it when I installed Ad Block Plus on my older PC but I still prefer Ad Muncher blocking and will buy a forth license once the 50% sale comes back!

Ad Muncher is meant to run on old ancient machines. Ad Blocker Plus not so much.

I have an old thin client running @ 1GHz and I have an older version of FireFox with Adblock plus installed. So it does work on older hardware.
